Winter in Obertauern: winter sports in a nutshell. Incomparable snow conditions. 95 km of pistes with 26 ski lifts. The pistes are well prepared and extensive, the lifts modern and fast. For the irrepressible, there is night skiing and the lifts are open early for early risers. Ski the Tauern round trip and enjoy the vastness of the region. You can leave your car in our underground parking while you are on holiday, everything is close by and can be quickly reached.
For the sporty (romantics) amongst you there are various prepared cross-country ski runs. Over on the sunny side of the valley, the runs cross nature reserves and all sort of interesting terrain.

And a tip for anyone who really wants to enjoy peace and quiet on the slopes: come to Obertauern in the second or third week of January!
